Management development from within the group

Employees who possess exceptional technical, business and social skills and who have the corresponding aptitude participate in our management development program. The program provides step-by-step preparation to managers and high potentials for their future tasks. Since we have a policy of training future managers from within, we are able to fill most management positions with our own employees.

Performance and potential appraisal

At the core of our personnel management system is a fair and objective way of appraising performance and potential, which we at MAN carry out on a regular basis. Employees and line managers annually conduct a joint examination and appraisal of an employee's skills from their own particular perspective. The results of the appraisal are then included in a personal development plan.

Personal development plan

An agreement covering personal development and assistance is reached on the basis of the potential appraisal. By matching the employee's skills profile with their experience and future tasks, it is possible to decide on specific developmental measures for the coming year.
